P.M. Atal Bihari Vajpayee visit Turkey between 16th and 19th Sep. 2003. During his visit he emphasized India's role in promoting political and economic ties between the two countries and their global role. Mr. Vajpayee is the first Indian P.M.to visit Turkey in the past fifteen years.
