Young Azad was terribly moved by the Britishers killing thousands of innocent Indians at Jhalianwala Baug in the Punjab. He whole heartedly plunged into the freedom struggle. He was arrested for his protests against the British rulers. A fearless comrade-in-arms of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev, Azad was killed in an encounter with the Britishers at Alfred Park in Allahabad.
